The Contrasts Between The Kingdoms |
a) |
The kingdoms have similarities in administration although more
is mentioned of God’s than Satan’s. Only God’s Kingdom is said
to have dominions, thrones (Col.1:16); authorities (1 Pet.
3:22); cherubim(Gen. 3:24); seraphim (Isa. 6:2); angels (1 Pet.
3:22); and archangels (Jude 1:9). The kingdom of Satan has
principalities and powers (Eph. 6:12; Col. 2:15). Having said
that, it is understood that “demons” (translated “devils” in the
KJV) are fallen angels. |

Humans Displaying Characteristics Of Him
Throughout the
scriptures there are those who were prototypes of Satan. Some
of them are: |
a) |
Pharaoh
He
was not only a type of Satan, he is a prototype of any man,
organization, government, which seeks to eradicate all
consciousness of God and a life beyond the present. Pharaoh's
government was a
picture of the
Satanic government with: |
i) |
Pharaoh, the great
prince. |
ii) |
His
taskmasters as individual fallen angels, demons. |
iii) |
Under Satan, Egypt
was a miniature of the entire world: |
1. |
A world of
spiritual darkness. (Jn. 12:46) |
2. |
A world of
spiritual ignorance. (Jn. 17:14; 1 Cor 1: 21) |
3. |
A world of
spiritual corruption. (2 Pet. 1:4; 2:20) |
(a) |
Pharaoh
is called “the great dragon”. (Ezek. 29:3 and so is Satan when
he is called “a great red dragon”; “the great dragon” Rev. 12:3,
9) |
(b) |
His associates are
viewed as: |
(i) |
The fowler ( Psa.
91:3) |
(ii) |
The wolf (Jn. 10:12 |
b) |
Belshazzar |
This ancient King
of Babylon was evil to the extreme, doing far worse than his
grandfather Nebuchadnezzar had ever done. When Nebuchadnezzar
brought the gold and silver vessels of the House of the Lord to
Babylon, he put them in the house of his god (Dan. 1:2).
Belshazzar used them to mock God in his night of drunken
partying (Dan. 5:1-4). It was on that very night he died and
his end was sudden. The Lord will not slay Satan but will cast
him into the bottomless pit to endure the fierce wrath of God
for all eternity. |
c) |
Judas
Judas is called the
son of perdition (Jn. 17:12) because of the spiritual value he
placed on that which God had given him, he clamored for more.
Likewise
with Satan, he was
dissatisfied with the high place God had given to him, and being
jealous of that which God was and had, he sought to elevate
himself to being as God. (Ezek. 28:16) |
d) |
Haman
He is called the
adversary and enemy (Est. 7:6) for he
hated the people of
God and sought to destroy them (Est. 3:6-15). Satan, using his
men, the beast and the false prophet, will seek the same thing
(Rev. 12:13-14).
Hitler was mild
compared to these men. |

May God grant us good understanding as He, by His
Holy Spirit, deigns to guide us into all truth.
