God is a very gracious and understanding God. He knew that
the sacred sacrifices could become common and that the
blessings of daily life can be accepted as the norm. At
times He reminds us of how blessed we are by the temporal
blessings we enjoy. There are thousands of individuals
today who waken to a life of degradation due to their caste,
thousands who last night did not have a clean and
comfortable bed to lie in, nor food in the kitchen.
Thousands of others have scarcely a penny to spare, and at
times no money at all. Most of us have physical health and
soundness of mind. We can hear the birds sing, see the
beauty of a sunrise or sunset, be held by a loved one, and
hear the sound of a loved ones voice. Yet at times we get
down and need to be reminded of the promises of God for the
temporal things of life. |
